Edgar Eco Bags!

Reduce, Reuse & then Recycle....that was the message from Year 6 in Assembly this afternoon. No surprise there - Northleach children are always finding ways to improve the school!

However, what we didn't expect was Edgar Eco himself turning up with a box full of bags! He is determined to make Northleach a greener place.

If you want to buy an Edgar Eco bag they are £3. They will be on sale in the school from Thursday morning onwards and in the local shops shortly afterwards.
These bags are the 'must have' Autumn fashion accessory!

The Eco Has Landed

Sometimes it might appear as if ideas for making the school a greener place happen overnight, but they all start with the children of Northleach C of E Primary. One example of this is Edgar Eco - once one of many entries in a competition, now a 3-D mascot!

Soon people outside of our school (and even outside of Northleach) will begin to recognise his face and become aware of his mission. More to follow...keep your eyes open!

There has also been really encouraging progress made in the school garden thanks to the dedicated parents who donated time and materials. Without this it would have been impossible for the pupils to grow their own vegetables. You should have seen the radishes!

It is also worth mentioning that after recent building work the amount of trees surrounding our school has actually increased!

Save electricity!!

Electricity is the thing we probably use most of in this school , so it is quite hard to save it. But just doing something as simple as turning a light off once can save a lot of money, especially if everyone does. Also just turning computers off when you leave is a good way to save! So start Saving !!!

Our search for a new Eco mascot!

As you may know, our eco scheme needs a mascot! So we asked the children in the school to help.We decided that running a competition would make it more exciting and the winners mascot will be put up around the school and on the front of our eco-scheme!
